Don't you just love the people who say cursing has no place in this game.... realize something you morons, you're playing a game where you're KILLING people. If the player can handle a game where the whole point is to kill other players, they can handle a couple of obscenities. End of story.

I dont understand how people get kicked for obscenity. either I don't know and some servers kick after one offense, or people are just plain retarded and unable to learn from their mistakes...but yeah, given that I usually witness wave after wave of pubbies rush headlong to their slaughter like lemmings, maybe that's the more likely.

but in practice, when our TS is going wonky and we have to resort to in game chat, some of us start chatting like we talk (and only in squad chat) and let off an F word, or D, or even something that starts with S, who knows. But the point is that we always only ever get a warning that our language is unacceptable.

So in my opinion, it's one thing to forget where you are and type out a cuss word. But how lame are you to keep using cuss words in chat after being warned?

I used to play on the Christian gaming server back when it was closer to me, and inevitably, would get kicked. Depending on how much game time I got in I would rejoin etc, but usually I would just pick another server afterwards.

Especially on Kubra Dam. I had to back and delete the n there just now. Damnit.

I was typing pick the assault kit for spawn to a friend in BF2, and then i got kicked for saying the word assault. It appears the *** (Sorry ROE admins) is included inside the word.

When you get kicked for words like cockpit, assets etc you know the server language filter hasn't been setup correctly.

eg there are 2 ways to setup the language filter Wild or Literal. People who add **** for instance as a Wild then any word with **** in it such as cockpit you will be kicked for. As you can see that is something I'm sure some admins don't intend to happen its just they haven't set it up properly, they should hace selected **** as Literal instead of Wild. (psst for all admins that have done that rush off and fix it now

You can also set it up in a number of ways. You can have so many warnings before a kick, so many kicks before a ban or you can tag words for instant kick or instant ban.

While it is not considered profanity, it is derogatory and can incite chat wars that can lead to much harsher language. BF2CC setting used to head off trouble. Deal with it or move on.
