It seems that BF2 is causing a problem with my computer.
What happens, is, when I run BF2 it brings me to a bluescreen, and that's when the problem starts occuring. The problem, is that windows absolutley refuses to boot. When I try to boot, it takes me to the screen saying "Windows Could Not Start Succesfully" and then you can select different modes. I can use any one, none work.
But, that's been fixed... for a price. $200 or so for a new HD. This has happened twice, and I don't want to pay $200 every time I play BF2. I'll post my system specs:
Intel Pentium 4 550
ATI Radeon X300 SE with 128 MB Cache running via PCI-E
250 GB SATA HD
2 GB DDR RAM
Now, my guess, is that it's the Graphics card, which is pretty much horrible. I just want to be sure that that may be my problem before I go and order an expensive card.
Thanks in advance to any replies.
I doubt very much that BF2 has had anything at all to do with this. I am sure it falls from the OS to your hardware....
Thanks. Last 2 times this happened I was running SP1. I suppose I'll try it again running SP2 (which I have now).
You payed $200 for a 250gb HD?:hmm:
the same thing happened to me. i built my own...
athlon 64 x2 3800
1 gb corsair xms 2
abit a8nsli mobo
some hd i don't remember
some 256mb gforce video card i dont remember
i was running bf2 and doing everything else (but not much of anything else really besides bf2) and after about a month or maybe two (i really lost track of time during that period) my computer crashed, and then crashed again, and then was fixed for a day or two and then crashed crashed crashed, got it fixed by someone else, crashed. on and on until i was crying.
the only thing that ever got replaced was the power supply. we also switched some ram around i think, but ended up back with the same configuration.
what could possibly be the problem??? or better yet, how do i find out???
i've hired professionals and they haven't been able to locate it.
i'm devastated. help me please.
