It's when your trying to defend a flag and are unsuccessful, if I see things going bad for my side I'll start to draw back a bit and hide in the hills or in some cover about 100m away and start sniping at them, it really ****s me off when our commander drops a vehicle beside me, like waving a big flag.......

I spot snipers all the time, and at times they get killed. But since most snipers are lone wolves, the idea of ordering one to get another is fruitless.

I drop arty / carty usually as fast as it recharges, and I try to stay away from areas where I'd pick up heavy TKs and hurt my team. So, if its a car on their CO, arty on one sniper, w/e, its all about the win. As far as a car to that lone SO guy in their main, well, I've already blown up their arty w/cars, and once u blow up the uav/scan their CO will come looking for u. Kill him, something will respawn, so gank their vehicle as well...

One sniper can hold up a team, and jeeps are AT magnets. If you are a sniper, the last thing you want is a car, unless you have an enemy squad coming after you.

Another thing, when the enemy commander drops a car on a sniper, even if it misses it is like dropping a flare on you, it points out your position to all enemy soldiers, even those not on comms with the commander.

while the car itslef may not have crushed you, remember: if no one enters for 10 seconds, it blows up. Aslo, as online00 pointed out, it marks your position. thirdly, if an enemy At sees a gray vehicle disapear from his minimap, hes just gonna wait to see you and then shoot you. If a car is dropped near you, run.

sorry guys .. I killed close to 10 guys last night with cartillery drops....wasting the artillery is a no no unless you have to as it is designed for concentrations of troops and/or armor. If I have a squad moving in to take a flag that is occupied, down comes the artillery before they get there and a car gets deropped on the rouge sniper sitting up on the hill .. I GOTSTA PROTECT MY BOYS!

Snipers are always getting hit by vehicle drops because they are the most vulnerable to it. Hitting anyone with a vehicle drop can be difficult because people tend to move around a lot; however, snipers tend to sit in one spot forever causing little damage, but still being an annoyance occasionally. The only thing better than killing a sniper with a vehicle is killing a squad of snipers that is all cuddled up together. It's such a dramatic moment to watch their bodies slither over the edge of a building, being dragged under the wheels of a vodnik.

Its more of a waste in my opinion. Just ask someone within the whole team to take down one ol sniper.

I would argue against this, take Wake for example, 2 good snipers can clear the tips of the main island if there are only the jeeps there, this can give the US a good chance of getting the ribs up to it, if there are tanks then get the cobra & jets in .....

Anyway I think Wake is a complete joke on public server, ppl just sit on the ESSEX waiting for the copters or jets, lastnight I had two good rounds on Wake as US (me only, team as a whole did crap), I looked at the mini map once wondering why there were so few ppl on the island, tought they had take oa base on the main island (there were only 2 of us, both snipers) ..... there were 6 ppl out in the ocean somewhere (deep see fishing or sumit to pass the time), the rest were on the carrier..... no wonder we lost.....

Surely someone as "Avid" a sniper as yourself would move enough without breaking cover not to get cartilleried by a private?
