The creator of the sleeper hit Flappy Bird, Dong Nguyen, is readying a new game that may be released by the end of this month. It's called Checkonaut and is being billed as an "action chess game."

Will this game suffer the same fate as Flappy Bird? It's anybody's guess right now. However, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Nguyen expanded upon his reasons for pulling the game.
