• Bethesda to Send Proper Canvas Bags to Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition Owners

Bethesda revealed that they will now give proper canvas bags to customers that purchased the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition. As you probably recall, the customers that purchased that version of the game were given not the canvas bags they were advertised, but rather a nylon bag that is in no way comparable to canvas.

At $200, you would think that they would actually provide the item that is still being advertised at retailers, right? Thankfully, Bethesda realized the error of their ways. Well, they realized this after they thought $5 (USD), or 500 Atoms, of in-game currency was enough to make up for a very clear bait-and-switch.

A Tweet made earlier this evening says that the studio is finalizing plans to provide proper canvas bags to those that own the Power Armor Edition of the game.

We are finalizing manufacturing plans for replacement canvas bags for the Fallout 76: Power Armor Edition. If you purchased the CE, please visit and submit a ticket by Jan. 31, 2019. We’ll arrange to send you a replacement as soon as the bags are ready.

Those who are eligible should click the link. Once there, select Fallout 76, then "Submit a Ticket," then "Billing/Purchase/Code." Once there, you should see a special option for the Power Armor Edition Bag Replacement Request Form. That's actually what it's called.

Whether or not Bethesda is doing this out of the kindness of their heart or the fact that a bait-and-switch is illegal is really anybody's guess. Or maybe they're doing it because pissing off the people that are willing to spend that much money for your products aren't the type of people you want to have upset. Whatever it is, the canvas bags are finally coming to those that deserve them and that's what really matters in the end. Maybe now I can finally shutup about it.
