  • Hunt: Showdown Receives Major Performance Patch

Crytek just released the first major performance patch for Hunt: Showdown, their upcoming multiplayer FPS that features PvPvE style gameplay. This patch is focused on CPU optimizations, reducing memory usage, and tackling a number of known issues that caused stuttering during movement and aiming.

Hunt: Showdown is currently in Steam Early Access for $29.99 (USD). The team has been quite good about keeping their community in the know about future patches and content updates thanks to an ever evolving Hunt: Showdown roadmap.

The video below is the best way to check out the improvements made in this latest patch. Be sure to check it out for a clearer picture of what these optimizations really bring to the table.

All of these changes should increase the general smoothness and response of the game, as well as, in some cases, overall framerate—particularly on lower spec machines. In addition, this patch addresses the missing vegetation issue at the start of the game.

We have received a huge amount of feedback and data from the community on these topics, and we want to thank you all once again for playing the game, providing feedback, and being patient with us while we fix bugs.
