  • Dark Souls: Remastered Announced for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC

    This should come as no surprise to those that read the rumor from late last night, but Dark Souls: Remastered was officially announced today. Really, the only thing that's different from the initial leak is the fact that the remaster is not a PlayStation 4 exclusive as initially thought. Instead, Dark Souls: Remastered will be released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on May 25, 2018.

    We're looking at at dynamic 4K resolution for the PS4, XB1, and PC versions. Though it's more likely that the PC release will be a full 4K at all times if you so desire.

    PlayStation 4 owners in Japan with a decent amount of extra money to burn can pick up the Dark Souls Trilogy box. This includes Dark Souls: Remastered, Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, and Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition. This bundle includes the soundtrack for each game, bookends, an encyclopedia, and unique art. It's out on May 24 for around $450 (USD).


    No other platforms were announced for this bundle. There were also no regions outside of Japan announced for this bundle. You can check out the announcement trailer for Dark Souls: Remastered alongside a 4K screenshot below.
