Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

Battlefield 2042 Update 7.0.1 to Fix a Few Issues

    Bug fixes are incoming.

The seventh season of Battlefield 2042 launched last week alongside Update 7.0.0. This week, DICE shared news of Update 7.0.1 that they hope to deploy on Tuesday, April 2nd.

This update is a minor one, as you can probably tell from the version number. It does include a few game breaking fixes for issues that were seemingly introduced as part of Update 7.0.0, but nothing particularly major is included in this new update.

    The real meat...

Generation Zero Celebrates 5th Anniversary with Free Weapon Skins

Five years on and the game is still getting updated.

When Generation Zero released in 2019, it wasn't really all that great. The stealth-shooter had a lot of issues in all aspects of the game, making the stealth-action shooter rather mediocre at best. In these past five years, developer Systemic Reaction has worked continuously to update the game with fixes, improvements, and a bunch of new content. By most accounts, the current state of Generation Zero is quite good and a massive...

You Can Use Trebuchets in Dragon's Dogma 2

Learning something new after 25 hours.

I am just shy of 25 hours of play time in Dragon's Dogma 2 (let's ignore the time spent trying to adjust all sorts of graphical options to make the game not run like garbage), and I am only now finding out about a new gameplay mechanic. Were you aware that you can use the various trebuchets you come across in Dragon's Dogma 2?

Sure, the usable ballista were probably rather obvious, especially given how you can see one used right...

  • Bethesda Says Happy 30th Birthday to Elder Scrolls, Mentions Early Playable Builds of Elder Scrolls 6

Release is still probably a long way away though.

The Elder Scrolls series has turned 30 years old this year and Bethesda Game Studios took to social media to offer up some thoughts on these past three decades. The Elder Scrolls: Arena was the first title and came out back in 1994 for MS-DOS. Arena is still free to play through Steam, by the way. And while there hasn't been a new mainline release for the franchise since 2011's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the series is as popular...

Capcom is Adding a New Game Option for Dragon's Dogma 2

Framerate improvements won't be a part of this update.

Capcom says in the "near future" they will release an update for Dragon's Dogma 2 that adds in the ability to start a new game if save data already exists. To those not keeping up on the goings-on for Dragon's Dogma 2, the game released with the inability to easily start a new game if you already created a save. Dragon's Dogma 2 only allows for one save slot and that is it.

    The planned update from Capcom...

Capcom Issues Statement to Dragon's Dogma 2 PC Players

The latest from Capcom is being demolished by fans for a myriad of issues.

Dragon's Dogma 2 released last night (or today, depending on time zones) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Though receiving generally favorable reviews, the latest title from Capcom has not launched without several issues on all platforms. The console versions of Dragon's Dogma 2 struggle to maintain a locked 30 FPS, but that 30 FPS target was at least known about ahead of the game's release.

    by Shawn Zipay
    It's AAAA vs WB.

March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.

Between the Rocksteady developed live-service Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the "AAAA" quality Ubisoft developed Skull and Bones: Which is the bigger disappointment for you?
