The Necromancer is a class that fans have wanted to return since Diablo III was released. Today, Blizzard announced that the Necromancer (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/20324407) will be added to Diablo III but as part of paid DLC. Ouch.

Who will be able to play the Necromancer?

A: We’re still settling on final details, but the Necromancer will be available as part of the Rise of the Necromancer pack, set to release in 2017. Players will need both Diablo III and Reaper of Souls to access this content (or, in the case of console, the Ultimate Evil Edition on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One).

What will we get as part of the Rise of the Necromancer pack?

A: In addition to unlocking the Necromancer as a playable character, players will also receive an in-game pet, two additional character slots, two additional stash tabs (on PC), a portrait frame, pennant, banner, and banner sigil.

The Necromancer will have many of their old moves back in Diablo III. Corpse Explosion is in alongside Bone Spear, Siphon Blood, Blood Rush, and Summon Skeletons.

A price has not yet been revealed. Right now, the "Rise of the Necromancer" pack is slated for a vague "2017" release window. Much like the response to the Diablo content coming to Diablo III (http://totalgamingnetwork.com/content.php?5736-Blizzard-Remaking-a-Part-of-Diablo-in-Diablo-III), fans aren't exactly thrilled by this reveal either.
