Good news, everyone! Treyarch themselves have stated their undying love for dedicated servers and see absolutely no reason to ever change how multiplayer gaming has been done for years now. The head of Treyarch, Mark Lamia, confirms (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=246438) what has been rumored for some weeks now.

"I think dedicated servers are excellent. I don't see any reason not to see them unless... well, I just don't see any reason not to.

"It seems people like them and we're excited about what we're doing right now.

"We do work very hard to reconcile the desire to manipulate and modify those dedicated servers with offering them the persistent experience and benefits that the console system provides.

"We're working very hard to marry those two things, so people can run dedicated servers and also participate in the communal experience the console players get to have, given they're all on first-party servers."

The full Q&A with Lamia can be found in the 221st issue of PC Zone.

THANK YOU TREYARCH!!!!! I said it when MW2 said they weren't having dedicated servers "Treyarch will be the PC friendly group, and IW will just **** us over"

This is just going to be IWNET with dedicated servers. Until they confirm Server browser, PB anti Cheat and mod tools, this is nothing more then a very small marketing move by treyarch.

I kinda agree with Garandx. IW said they were working on dedicated server files also, then all of a sudden they weren't.

We will see how it is a month prior to release.
