Guys i am disapointed right now. I bought myself an Intel X25-M G2 80Gb SSD thinking i was gonna be able
to load maps a lot faster than my velociraptor 10k rpm right ?? wrong !! Whats going on with this game lol i have an ATI 4870x2 with the latest drivers and the latest patch for the known issues. I changed dxversion=auto to dxversion=9.
I have a fresh install of windows 7 x64. Still no difference than my velociraptor !! everything else loads in a blink of an eye. Even the game loads faster but the maps not so much... any idea?? ho and i am still experiencing flickering in the game even with the latest patch... :shakehead:
C2D E8500 3.16Ghz
4 Gb ram OCZ reaper 1066Mhz
ATI 4870x2 2Gb
Intel X25-M G2 80Gb SSD
Corsair HX1000
Thanks soldiers !! :salute:

Its the 4 series cards. everyone with them has slow loading times. The 5 series were helped with these new drivers from ATi. I tried the new ones, and even went to dx9, still no improvements.

Yeah it's your video card ... try the new drivers.
I have an SSD with a 280 GTX OCX card and I am ALWAYS the 1st one in the server ... every time!

He has the ATi 4xxx series though. We seem to be left behind with this improved load time fix. The 5xxx cards are fine, the 4 series owners are not. The new drivers don't fix loading times for us sadly.

or if 4xxx does load fast maps with the new driver then drop dx version to dx9

We only had like 5 active guys which wasn't enough for matching, and our server was barely getting started. Much of Team DoWork played in the Big =E= Servers since BF2 so ~4-5 of us went and joined =E=.

I'm sorry you bought an SSD because your loadtimes were slow due to your card. To be honest the SSD isn't going to be that much faster than the velociraptor. Both drives will load BC2 extremely fast as even a normal drive loads BC2 with remarkable load times.

only times you are goign to se eincrease with a SSD is how quickly an application starts, you are nto goign to see any advantage in games. Doesnt make you a better shooter, etc :)

They are talking about load times. SSD will increase the speed at which maps load.
