Well this mod should prove to be VERY popular as there are a lot of fans of CoD4 and tons of people have a blast killing Nazi Zombies. Let the carnage begin! Read below for some more details on the mod.
Way2Evil has created Nazi Zombie Modern Weapons for Call of Duty: World at War Nazi Zombie. This mod replaces almost every weapon in CoD:WW zombie mode with modern weapons. Exceptions because they would still be used today anyway are: Molotov, M2 Flamethrower, Double Barrel Sawnoff. This works with the stock zombie maps, along with the custom ones.

Anybody have a mirror? I don't feel like making an account.
Isn't it kinda illegal to move things between games like this though? Or is it remakes, and not ports?

Nah, it's fair use, so long as no one is making a profit.

Depends on the developer. EA/DICE have said that doing that was illegal for Battlefield games.

Holy crap!
Does this actually replace the weapons, or are they a new set?

I was busy last night. Has anyone tried this yet? Your opinion?

It replaces the WWII weapons with the ones from COD4.

I gave it a quick spin tonite.
Here's what's available in the main (start) room:

Not sure if they meant to leave the sawed off shottie in there, or if that was an oversight. The other COD4 weapons, and flamethrower, can be found in the magic box.
Overall, the using the "new" weapons was cool and seemed to make it easier. I was just messing around, not playing seriously, and got up to level 9 with no real problems.
IMO, the M16 is not good for dealing with zombies. The 3-round burst goes through your ammo quickly, you can't count on all 3 rounds hitting the target, and the delay in between bursts leaves you vulnerable. I like using it in MP in COD4, but I ditched it pretty quickly here in zombie mode, as I didn't feel safe using it. The M4 with red-dot sight was much better.
I'm not sure if the nades had the greater power as in COD4, or were the weaker CODWW variety, but they seemed more devastating. Got me out of a few jams.
The M1014 shottie is a beast. Great weapon, especially when you're cornered and need to clear a path ASAP. The bigger magazine size and quick re-chambering makes it a terrific weapon. But even the W1200 shottie isn't far behind. If you have one of each, I'd say you'd be pretty well protected (in a jam, instead of reloading, just switch to the other and keep blasting away).
I loved both the Dragunov (upstairs cabinet) and Barrett (Magic Box) sniper rifles. Semi auto + 1 shot kills (even to the body) = win. I could shoot zombies on the other side of the map, or blast them at point blank range with confidence. Oh, and a fair number of times, I was able to kill 2 zombies with one shot, as the bullet passed through the first zombie and nailed the 2nd one.
Honestly, I think 2 or 3 players with semi auto sniper rifles and either the M1014 or the mini Uzi/M4 as a backup could probably go pretty far without too much trouble. Especially if they were spaced a bit apart so that there wasn't a big push of zombies in one concentrated area. Using the rifles to fire down the long hallways both upstairs and downstairs can prevent too many zombies from ganging up on you. I always tried to leave 1 crawler alive at the end of each round so I had plenty of time to patch up all of the windows, which slowed down the start of the wave when the next level started.
I hope to try this out with more people to see what they think.

Thanks Whiskey!
Sounds like it's pretty fun. This is supposed to work on custom maps also. I'm definitely up for trying this on later today. Make that, I want to, and I WILL be trying this today. :guns:

:yay:
I haven't played zombies in a little while, which is great. It's great b/c when I have I to go a while without playing, then I attack it again, it's always so fun and it looks cool. I'm always like, this should be an entirely separate game, but it's included, woot!
I still believe that Left 4 Dead's sales did better b/c of Nacht Der Untoten in CoD:WW getting people excited about blowing away the undead with their friends.

First, the "Brains" sound clips that have been added, VERY FREAKY! :D It also seems that you have the "Knife Slash" from CoD4 and then the "Knife Stab" from CoD:WW.
Also, this mod will work on other maps, just played it on FruChurch. The process goes (PLEASE BACKUP FILES IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG):
-Copy all files from the "Modern" folder
-Paste them in the folder of the map you want to apply it to i.e. FruChurch
-It will ask if you want to replace the 'mod.ff', hit yes, copy and replace
And bam, load up the map FruChurch in this example, and you will have the modern weapons.
Now, in the readme, it says this will work usually if the mod.ff file is about 1kb meaning there isn't much there. The mod.ff file for Modern is around 15mb.
Enjoy this great and creative mod!
