No matter which game you play, FPS, TPS, XPS, etc etc etc.

What is your generic gaming style?

Given the choice between rushing with a knife and and advancing slowly with several tons of military hardware at my disposal, I take the latter option. ;)

Analytical. Tactical. Strategic.

Non-Aggressive. Defensive. Reactive.

I take the time to determine the outcome of every possibility before I act, relying only on reaction when I don't have time to plan.

I usually have support in mind, but only because I know that it'll help me in the long run to help my squads, groups and/or team to find victory. Of course, this also means that I'm very prone to leaving team-mates behind when they prove they aren't worth the effort it takes to support them.

I take into account the situation, and use it to my advantage, or I hunker down and wait for the situation to change to my favor again. This means if a game is going badly and I'm barely earning enough to get by, I'll fade into the shadows, and wait until momentum shifts, or until the next round or game begins.

Depends on the game.
In UT3 I`m more of a defender while doing some odd raids into the enemy base from time to time to spice things up.
In games like ArmA, RO I`m all about stealth and camping.
CoD4, a mix between rushing and randomly trolling around the place.
But yeah, I try to keep my actions and movement as random as possible to avoid being ambushed, sniped and so on.

I like anything that has to do with teamwork/working in squads. That's mostly the "natural born leader." :P

Although, I do also enjoy any other teamwork/squad role too. :)

Where was the "Nuke everything that moves" option?

Chris_Redfield
02-14-2008, 10:02 PM
Depends on whats at stake and whom Im playin for, with and whos depending on me or whom am I depending on.

If Im in the "auto" mode, I just mindlessly run around and shoot, just to have my own fun.

If things get serious, I might actually go in a LAN server, research the subject, problem, find solutions, go back to the server and go from there.

I literally drag people around and make them slip and slip harder, keeping myself safe and them at disadvantage. I gladly sacrifice my own teammates for my own personal gain.

I thought for you it was coming up the rear Oli!

Lmao.

Anyway, I chose support, but it changes like so.

Start as stealth, then when I get caught I get caught, I get fustrated, causing me to have a "f**k this" mentality, and rush.

I rush until I die & get revived, or get saved from an ambush/near knifing, or some other good samaritan act, which causes me to try to help people more, thus relegating me to a support role.

I keep on helping until someone becomes a jerk and f**ks me over, causing me to go lone wolf/stealth again.

This applies to most any FPS I play. If it's a new game/map, I'll automatically go to a support role, since it's impossible to sneak, and quite hard to rush, when you aren't familiar with the ins & outs of a map.

DEAD snipers ftw. :p

I was playing a few rounds of BF2142 (to try out Wake 2142 mostly). There was this sniper who was completely hidden among trees and snow. I spent like 5 minutes trying to find him.

Steal there kills, revive them, throw them ammo, just piss them off :D, let them trip that landmine/claymore 1st then its clear for me, or die from the nade instead of me.

In all my games I like sticking with the group, or going around with atleast one other person. I feel more secure knowing that I've got a companion by my side.

The exception to this is that sometimes I like soloing in the chopper in BF2, and I always go solo in the jets. But with infantry or with ground vehicles, I tend to stick with the group.
