Title says it all. What are you planning to do to celebrate the New Year?
I'm not sure yet, I'll probably go to a fancy restaurant/club downtown and get high off that water-pipe thing Arabs smoke. I think it's called a nargila in Arabian...

It's called a Hookah.
I'll end up getting way to drunk; probably break/set on fire some stuff, then a short nap intime for the Texas Tech v. Virginia game! After which I'll probably drive to Colorado and go snowboarding.

I dunno, but come new year's day, I shall delight in doing my first trombone practice of the new year at the end of Dad's bed while he's trying to sleep off the inevitable hangover. :p

beer does taste good grant you that. drink coffee, much less life altering effects.
they should put a warning sign on it
"warning , fluck with this & you will ruin your life, and most likely other peeps life, some you might know , some you might not".
Its amazing when you think of it, people pay for destruction, and at the very least a bathroom full of vomit & a good ole bustin headache in the morning & probably a few wounds/bruises/knots that they dont know how/where they got.

Ruin your life? WTF?
Cmon, whos gonna puke after a six pack or two? Beer is good, gets you in a good mode and doesnt give you a nasty headache like booze (well that kinda depends on the amount but still). What the hell do you need a warning sign for??
Also, if you had alot of fun while you were drinking, its pretty often is worth the headache the next day:D

Most dont stop there

What the hell do you need a warning sign for??
Cause its deadly, and will ruin your life & others who are around you.
Also, if you had alot of fun while you were drinking, its pretty often is worth the headache the next day:D
Thats your fun i guess thats ok, i can have just as much fun on grape juice or coffee....
Waahh, i only picked on you because its somewhat IMO more dangerous to drink than to own a weapon. you dont care to dive in on gun rights & how those "deadly useless things " need to be outlawed cause they kill, well im sure you allready got what im tryn to say so i'll be quiet.
nah i wont, i lied,
anyway right to bear arms, right to drink , well both can kill, but one has control, the other (alchohol)doesnt.
Most good psycho's go on there rampage from drinking, most wife's skulls bashed in while hubby is drunk, most kids abuse while ole pop had 2 many suds , countless innocent die from idiot drunk drivers who have no control, a HIM(Highway interstate Missle) outta control... most have to get drunk to shoot there brains out with those ole guns,,,, etc.
A warning sign would be the least that could be done.

Cmon, how is beer (or booze for that matter) "deadly"?! You have to drink a whole lot to actually take damage from the amount of alcohol itself. Yeah sure, you might fall and injure yourself or whatever, but thats kinda your own fault.
When it comes to how much you can controll yourself when your drunk its really up to the person. I have gotten pretty drunk a couple of times, but i've never done anything THAT stupid. I have no problems with controlling myself while being drunk, well ok maybe a little but i still can see the difference between "good" and "bad". Some ppl do get turned into idiots after a drink or two, but then i know a couple ppl who i dont really like when they are sober, but after a six pack they are suddently turned into a really nice guy. So IMO, theres nothing bad with alcohol, it just comes down to whos drinking.
When i get drunk, i just get into a really good mode, kinda stop caring about what ppl think and just have a good time.
Thats your fun i guess thats ok, i can have just as much fun on grape juice or coffee....
And if you poured some vodka in that grape juice or coffee it would taste better and you would even more fun;)

Dude, yes, i dont know where ya'll live, but 99% of the idiots here (*again i used to be one of em) dont stop at a six pack, and well they either jump in a card & drive & kill somebody or they go fighting, shooting, or just plain jackass's , i mean i put it this way, very rare cases here of people drinkin responsible & acting in a tolerating manner.

no dude i wasnt arguing, i just poking at waah, we argue over gun rights before & i just think alchohol stats prove that drinkin is more deadly/destructive than owning a firearm.
but really drinkin is realavent to this thread since its what most do that actually stay up at night to "bring it in"
but i dont wanna get way out there on it, so i agreee no arguing any further on my part anyway.
I usually look at things odd , like anymore i just see new years as another day closer to death. But dont get me wrong thankful for what yrs i had, i guess one of those things "is glass half empty , or full"......:salute:

I won't be doing much on new years eve, however on the 2nd-7th Jan i'm going sailing with a bunch of TA mates (all paid for by Her Majesty of course!) and that will be an almighty piss-up worthy of seeing in the new year!
^^ I'm going to see what John is doing on New Year's Eve, he has his own house ;)
