2gb is good for XP / BF2
the 7600GS is slightly weaker , so id say med/high settings

Your 2.4Ghz CPU and 2GB of RAM is fine. You shouldn't have any problems with long draw distances (a must). The only weak point is your Geforce 7600GS especially if your playing on a large screen.
I would say stick to medium settings, but low for effects (shadows, dynamic lighting, etc). And a little AA, but keeping off the AF. You may have to step down a resolution if you want eye candy. Use FRAPS to gauge what FPS you get in game on single player first. Ideally it should never drop below 30FPS minimum because you want the game to run smoothly as possible and no lag caused by your system. Tweak your graphical settings until you're happy, then join us online. :salute:
Oh....and make sure you have any unnecessary background tasks turned off.

Xp can only handle 3Gb any way
You mean XP 32bit can only only see 3.2gb of the total installed 4gb. Tis to do with IRQ's and memory management.
64bit will see up to 16gb

Hey again. I've been thinking (I know, dangerous). Given my system, what video card would you all suggest???
Thanks in advance.

I've got 3GHZ CPU, 2 gigs of RAM and GeForce 6800, and i run Bf2 on all high x4 AA. So i dont see any reason why you shouldnt be able to do so...
