Question to all you pistol freaks out there:
shouldnt the USP do the same damage as a Colt .45? same calliber. And if it is, isnt that the best pistol then? Bigger magazine???:shakehead

The USP looks awesome, i find the M1911 to look a little unfinished for some reason, hasn't quite got the polish of the others.

Desert Eagle all the way.

All pistols have close to, or same damage. This is why theres no bars for the pistols.

I use all the guns, exept Deagles, not because they don't look and perform good, but because I doubt a real SAS, USMC guys would use em, and TBH the OpFor would use a Glock.

I've had better luck quickly downing the target with the Deagle. Before that, I used the USP and never gave it a second thought.

The silenced USP is great... I was downing guys with ARs last night with it, its very accurate.

@ the OP - yep, damage would be identical. The only key performance differences between a USP45 and a M1911 are the mag size (USP has a double-stack mag) and weight (USP has a composite frame). The USP has a bit more muzzle flip than an average 1911 because of the weight difference, but .45 ACP is a pretty well behaved cartridge in general.

M9 has the highest mag cap, then USP, 1911, and Deagles.

But I prefer the USP.

In my infantry company, we had a couple of guys who owned and deployed with Eagles. The most popular privately owned pistol in my unit's armory? .44 Magnum ftw

We had to supply our own ammo, but other than that we could use whatever sidearm we chose. We were required to qualify with them on the range before we could take them to the field.

thats pretty cool, so if you qualified, you could take a harpoon gun as your side arm :D

I don't know if all units allow for this, but Army doctrine does. It goes back to early colonial history where soldiers reported for duty with their family arms.

Hi Vika! Yeah, I decided to switch things up a little... ;)

I do like the .45 quite a lot. I'm learning to love the Desert Eagle as a "OSIOOA (Oh shiz, I'm out of ammo!)" life-saver!

It's pulled me out of a couple of difficult situations. :salute:

Silenced USP in MC is a BEAST.

I love it. For instance... Today on Countdown, Im sniping behind the downed heli, two guys come head on, so i don't hear them till the last second, I stand up, shoot one with a chest shot with the USP and the other one gets blown up by my claymore.

GG. :yay:

weapons that use hte same caliber ammo(using hte same type of bullet) have the same amount of stopping power, it might vary based on the rifling of a barrel but im not sure.
accuracy, recoil, etc are all variable.

id rather have a USP in .45 than a 1911, i just like the feel and the sights of the USP much better, it just feels better in my hand and i can acquire targets with the sights quicker.
