ventrilo help PLS!

ok so im going to post a thread i put on the ventrilo forums that no one will even reply to so im hoping maybe you guys can help.

here is the post:

the newest ventrilo works fine for me but my friend its aweful. he used to be able to run ventrilo just fine but he reformatted and the new version came out. now every time he opens it it turns his desktop into horrible color quality and resolution along with any program he runs and it just ruins everything. im going to be adding some pics of b4 and after to show you what i mean. if anyone has any idea how to fix this problem please help...hes on vista btw

wow how strange.

I would recommend he uninstall ventrilo, restart, reinstall, restart, etc

Never seen that before...and I hear ya about the vent forums, they can be dead some times. Hopefully that will work.

sadly enough hes done all that several times :S

Looks like some sort of driver is crashing, or the program is forcing Windows to run in a compatibility mode... which means 8bit colour.

Right click on the .exe, and have a look whether any of the compatibility modes make a difference.
