Daliup, all the Total OT's for the different games were merged, this is why you see so many "new" people (like myself) around now.

He has a 500% accuracy with motion mines.

Motion mines are the 2142 version of anti-tank mines, they float when you drive near and follow you (until they collide, blowing you to smithereens).

Another random ranking bug.

It's funny how almost no one from 2142 bothers joining in. :rolleyes:

I never understood why so many dislike 2142, no unbalanced jets, no dolphin diving, and a new game mode. If anything it could use a third side, more maps, and a few more original weapons. Is it the future setting? The fact that there's less classes?

How many of you have even played it....?

Quite a few actually.

Before the merge there were regulalry threads in BF2 discussion saying how they've decided to come back to BF2 after playing 2142

Interesting, what did they cite as the reason?

Most of the people that left bf2 for 2142 left for the reasons I cited, better balance, dolphin diving, Inf only, and jets.

I'm not saying either game is better or worse, but they are different, and there are people who prefer each.

Although I appear to hate it, its more of just a joke.

I know, but sometimes I just wonder what makes it a "turd"......

I have to admit the one thing I like about bf2 is how the guns seem more powerful, 2-3 body shots is all it takes, the only 2142 AR that can match that is the baur (which I dislike).

But that's balanced out by how much harder it is for infantry to combat vehicles in bf2. It's much easier to take out a tank or apc while on foot in 2142 imo.
