View Full Version : M60 and thoughts on Last Stand

Ok, so I just got the M60 last night. That thing friggin rocks. I finally got a kill streak of 7. I also loaded my M60 class with Last Stand. I just wanted to check it out. I've only been killed once by someone in Last Stand (and I wasn't even the one who killed him). I wasn't very impressed by it, but it was my first time using it. Has anyone else used it and had success with it?

I find last stand a bit useless to be honest, personally i prefer to use another perk to keep me alive rather than trying to kill when i've been shot.

Agree with Bisley, I'd rather stay alive for longer with deep impact or steady aim than get a cheap kill or two once I've been hit.

Last Stand is pretty cool, I like it more than Martyrdom, but that just because I think last stand is more fair. In hard core mode its a wicked surprise though if the person doesn't make sure your dead, your lying there in an open area with enough time to get two clips off. I was killed while activating my UAV, but got enough kills during Last Stand to call in an Air Strike.

Yea its cool. Ive had success with it and been killed by it as well. There are other good perks out there, but I like to use it now and again.

Now with someone with last stand, I like to shoot them down and then go behind cover and wait for them to bleed out. They know I am right there and they just HOPE that I show my head. Its so cruel, I LOVE IT! :yay:

OR, If I was REAL close to the person, like around the corner and ran into them, I would run circles around them then knife them. :nod:

It's not super effective, but Last Stand is a cool feature. Personally I'd like to see it changed from being a perk to being something that just happens automatically to players now and then (Maybe depending on where you were hit when you went down).

The M60 is one of my faves. That gun's got a whole lot of dakka.

M60E4 is a BEAST, son. I love it! I love both the red dot sight and the Grip for it, can't decide which one I like better!

Not a fan of it myself! Its also annoying when you dont get to finish killing the person with it, and somebody else steals your kill

When you have a M60, you've got to have that Red Dot! The normal iron sights suck, but when the Red Dot is attached you experience a whole other gun.

the ironsights are massive, cover up the target pretty much, but i'm guessing its slightly to do with balancing as it is a pretty neat weapon

I agree with ozendorph, i think if it happened if you got hit in the leg or something it would be good because that would promote accurate fire instead of spray-fests.

As a perk i don't think its worth it over steady aim or deep impact.

I think this is a great idea as well.

The m60 is a lot of fun, but I can't bring myself to use a grip on it due to the amazing cheese you can pull off with a grip and from the hip. I love it with double tap or stopping power + deep impact, and a red dot.

I respect players who use last stand over martyr, I still knife them while they're down though.

Using Last Stand is about a 50/50 chance of you doing anything.
If you have it on, 50% of the time, you will get shot more and not even get a chance to get a round off. Other 50% chance is that you will get some kills, but end up waiting there for yourself to die, unless you just off yourself there.

Martydom > Last Stand

Especially in a large game on Shipment; where the M60 truly shines.

i've used the last stand perk quite a few times with moderate success. it works good on the free for all mode. when the enemy is more occupied with being killed by other players than the guy he just shot. it just depends on the player who shoots you and how much attention he pays to you. in my humble opinion...
