Gametrail dedicates its network to gaming whereas you ISP handles multiple types of information. So, in theory you bypass a large, complicated network and get nearly direct access to game servers thereby reducing latency and speeding up the connection.

In theory, this is a brilliant idea. I just would love to know how to "bypass" the internet, when the internet is the one thing that actually can connect you to these gamerails gateways anyway?

It reduce latency between your pc and servers for supported games.
It costs money but theres a free trial.
