Hi.

I run a:
Pentium D 3.0ghz
1GB RAM
ATI Radeon X800XL 256MB
On board sound card (sadly, after my Audigy 2 died...)
500GB SATA2 H.D.

First of all: This game is great!! Just finished the Singleplayer game and wow... talk about cool.

The game runs FUNTASTIC on my card and the sp mode works like a charm - never crashed or nothin'.

I have a big problem though - I can't run the Multiplayer! Every time I load it up my computer crashes! I tried every fix out there (latest patch, the *.asi file thing), I have the latest drivers for my graphics and sound...

Can anybody help me?

Please?

Anybody?

How do you mean it crashes, can you give more details ? (not that I know the answer). :D

Are you running X-Fire in the background? If so, log out, and EXIT the program.

The computer restarts.

I think the fact that I don't know what X_Fire is, means I'm not running it.//

Thanks for your replies...

If you have an anti-virus program running in the background, you need to turn it off/exit the program.

As well, try disabling your firewall, if you have one, while gaming.

The fact that this is only happening to you in multi-player seems to point to an application that accesses the internet causing problems.

Try turning down the settings, multiplayer games tend to hog more resources during MP games compared to SP mode.

Perfect example is BF2 and BF2142.

When your comp restarts have a look at the event log to see if it gives a more detailed description on what happend.

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer > Click Application on the left,

In the window on the right will list all the Application errors that have occured double click the most recent (ie when your comp last reset when you were playing),
